FSU RB Dalvin Cook has surgery, should be ready for fall
Florida State running back Dalvin Cook will miss the Seminoles' spring game Saturday because of shoulder surgery but coach Jimbo Fisher expects him to return over the summer.
Per Florida State officials, Cook had surgery on the posterior of his right labrum. He had an anterior labrum injury as a freshman in 2014 and the recent injury took place during a pass-blocking drill.
"Dalvin had surgery on his shoulder and we cleaned up a little stuff in the back of his shoulder," Fisher said via Warchant.com. "He'll be ready in a couple months, and he'll be ready to go in June, July and train and do everything.

"There are some things in there ... we had them checked and it was a question of whether to do it or not and we had them do it and it was a good thing they did. But nothing drastic; he'll be immobilized for about two months."
Cook ran for an FSU-record 1,691 yards and scored 19 rushing touchdowns in 2015 as the Seminoles went to the Peach Bowl. He spoke to ESPN earlier in the week about the accusations that he punched a woman at a bar over the summer and said "Nobody touched anybody."
